In the wake of the extraordinary success of the spring tournament, the Polo Gold Cup 2007 is ready to land in Porto Cervo (Sardinia –Italy), for the second time this year. The Audi Summer Gold Cup (12/14 goal hp) will be held  on the polo pitch of the “Shergan Equestrian Centre” between the 12th and 22nd September.Over 160 horses will cross the Tyrrhenian Sea to give life to this exciting tournament featuring 6 teams with the best players from Europe, Argentina, Brazil and the US. Matches will be played in the late afternoon. The charming Sponsors’ Village, built among the granite rocks and the fantastic polo pitch, will draw a large gathering of glamorous spectators coming from  the Emerald Coast to enjoy this prestigious rendez-vous. Six polo teams are competing an best players engaged are Guillermo “Memo” Gracida (USA) and Olavo Novaes, both 8 goal hp.
The event, promoted as the Cortina Winter Polo on snow by Maurizio Zuliani and Claudio Giorgiutti, is entering with full rights into the “Costa Smeralda”  world-renown calendar of great international events.
