RENTAL ON 2 WHEELS

In the major tourist centres it is possible to find small firms that rent motorcycles, motorbikes and bicycles. Some of these require a minimum age of 18 yrs. for the lease of these motor vehicles.

Regardless of the type of motorbike or displacement size, it is obligatory to wear a helmet when riding the motorbike. There are no particular indications for bicycle rental. It is advisable to wear a sturdy helmet for protection in case of a fall.

The bicycle could be a good means of alternative transportation to travel around the island and appreciate its landscape to the full, even though it is not recommended during the summer due to the hot, torrid weather.

The bicycle can be easily carried onto the trains and ferryboats of the island.
