 | Santa Maria Navarrese is a seaside resort, situated in the eastern coast, about ten kilometres far from Baunei. This area is characterized by beautiful coves, reachable by sea. The town is gathered around the beautiful church of Santa Maria Navarrese, built over the ruins of an eleventh century church.
Next to the church there is a huge and thousand-year olive tree. Nearby the coast a XVII century tower stands. About ten kilometres far from the town there is a steep carsick pothole (295 metre deep). In the surrounding there is the country-church of San Pietro (XVIII century), and, in front of it, a menhir stands. |
