Porto Botte’s beach is placed in Palmas’Gulf, in the territory of Giba, on the southern part of Sardinia. It stretches for 5 kilometres of delicate and white sand and the coast, still unspoilt, is crowded with scented junipers until “Monte Sarri” and “Monte Sa Perda” and overlooks the limpid and teeming with fish waters in front of Sant’Antioco aisle. The beach is not so crowded but it attracts people thanks to the chance of practicing kite surf and wind surf. These sports are phenomenal with the northwest wind that enters side-on shore with calm water. The technical level goes from beginners to masters. Wings range from 8 to 14 sq.m. During the summer the thermal joined to the northwest wind can reinforce until 20-25 knots even when the weather forecast give only 10-15 knots! The temperature of the water changes from the 6 degrees in the winter to the 20 degrees in the summer. It is possible to find more windy days from may to august but also during the year (140 days during all the year). |
