 | This village is called also Bona Orba and Bonorba, in some ancient scripts of the Middle Ages.
This place’s name probably dates back to the Roman Empire, and has an obscure etymology.
In the opinion of many historians, it comes from the Latin word “urbs”, town, preceded by the adjective “bona”, good.
The land was surely inhabited since the pre- nuragic and punical eras.

 | Leaving Bonorva, following the road that leads to Bono, a bit further on the right side you will find Rebeccu, which during the Middle Ages was one of the most densely populated centres of the Meilogu, and was owned by the Giudicato of Torres.
