Location: East of Sardinia

The Nature Reserve of Montarbu is home to the homonymous forest, that covers a surface area of about 6919 acres, between the districts of Seui and Ussassai. The forest boasts a wealth of flora and fauna among the highest in the island, thanks to its geomorphological characteristics. That's why in 1980 the forest of Montarbu has become an oasis of wildlife protection. During the summer the climate is hot-arid (especially in august) and moderately humid during the winter season.
The forest is the ideal place for excursions by foot and bike, but also for quiet trips to the country, thanks to numerous picnic facilities.

HOW TO GET THERE: Coming out of Seui, go ahead towards Ussassai. After about 8kms , turn toward the crossroad indicated by a road sign, to the “Mario Falchi” barracks.
