 | The centre of the city is Arborea Square, where a monument in honour of Eleonora D’Arborea stands. Here are also grouped the main buildings of the city, like the Town Hall (XVII century), at first a monastery then houses the municipal offices. Going on towards the city centre you will find The Cathedral, the church of the Santissima Trinità, the Seminario Tridentino, the monastery of Carmelitani (XVIII-XIX century) and the church of san Francesco. On the last Sunday and the last Tuesday of the Carnival in Oristano takes place the popular “Sa Sartiglia”, an old relaxing horse race of the XVI century. |

 | The museum of the Antiquarium Arborense houses a small art gallery where pictures, that date back to the Spanish domination, are kept, and exhibits various remains brought to light from the excavations of Tharros and Sinis Peninsula. On the north of the Oristano Gulf you will find Marina di Torregrande, the city seashore, that owns a well equipped tourist harbour. Here rises one of the most imposing Sardinian coastal towers, named “Sa Turri Manna”, that overlooks Torregrande beach, traditional destination of city inhabitants. |

 | Along the road that leads to Cuglieri you will find the beach of Is Arutas, with a sand composed by granules of quartz, followed by the beach of Is Arenas, where a rock modelled by the waters as an arch, named “S’Archittu” (the little arch), stands. A bit further on you will find the beach of Santa Caterina di Pittinuri.
