 | The island of Sant’Antioco is connected to the Sardinia by a narrow strip of land. It is the biggest isle of the Sinis archipelago. Its main village is situated on the eastern part of the island. As the numerous Domus de Janas and nuraghi in this isle testify, this area has been inhabited since from the Antiquity. Half kilometre far from the main village the ruins of the ancient Sulci, where a Tophet, a sanctuary that was probably used for sacrifices in honour of ancestral divinities, stand. In the Antiquarium, all the remains found on this zone are kept.
