 | Tempio Pausania is situated in the northern part of Sardinia, on a granitic upland, nearby Limbara mountain (1359 m.). Its economy is mostly based on the production of wine and cork, but, thanks to the therapeutic effects of its waters, it has recently become a holiday resort. |

 | The most important part of the town is the centre, with the beautiful houses and buildings made with the local granitic rock. Saint Peter’s Cathedral and its Oratory are the most interesting buildings. They have been rebuilt in the XIX century, but the portal and the bell tower date up to the XV century. The church houses in two of its chapels two wonderful wooden altars. At the end of Corso Matteotti you can find a beautiful park, Parco Delle Rimembranze; further on, thre is Viale della Fonte nuova with one of the Tempio’s famous fountain.

 | Not far from here, in a well equipped thicket, there are Rinaggiu sources, whose water is well known for its beneficial effects, and where recently reopened spa is. On the top you can reach the lookout and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Two kilometres far from Tempio, northwards, there is the Nuraghe Maiori, while southwards, about sixteen kilometres far, there is Limbara mountain, whose highest top is Punta Balistreri (1359 m.). In the surroundings there are some nice villages, like Luras, where you can visit some dolmens, Aggius and Luogosanto.
