Tirso

TIRSO RIVER:

The Tirso is one of the most important rivers of Sardinia; it takes its origins from the waters of Mount Longos (925 mt) and Sa Janna Bassa (950 mt), between Buddusò and Bitti. It goes across the provinces of Sassari, Nuoro and Oristano. The Abba2o association proposes a trip to see the funniest and vivacious part of it and to enjoy its rapids (you can easily shoot these 1st and 2nd WW class rapids). The descent lasts one hour and it ends in the village of Fordongianus where you can enjoy a relaxing thermal bath in the ancient Roman Spa
If you want to take part in this adventure you should have good experience in water sports. Due to dam regulatory restrictions this trip can be experienced only from Monday to Friday.
