For sea and wind lovers, here is an itinerary through Sardinia's waters: crystal clear waters that wash breathtaking beaches and rocks of a thousand shapes. Five days on a sailing-boat to discover unforgettable places, colours and scents.

1° Day - ARCHIPELAGO DE LA MADDALENA
The starting-point for discovering the northern coast of Sardinia is the island of La Maddalena, main island of the archipelago, the only one that is inhabited throughout the year. It's not far from the coast, but in a stretch of sea that is exposed to Mistral and therefore is often very rough.
After leaving from one of the coast harbours (Olbia, Golfo Aranci, Palau), you reach the islands of Budelli, Santo Stefano, Spargi, Santa Maria e Razzoli.
Beaches and bays:  Cala Testa di polpo, Baia Spalmatore, Cala Lunga, Monti da Rena, Cala Inferno, Cala Francese, Nido d'Aquila and Punta Tegge.

2° day - LA MADDALENA - SANTA TERESA DI GALLURA
After you left the archipelago, coast the promontory where, from Palau to Capo Testa, there's a succession of beautiful bays, coves and beaches with fine sand. You then reach the small town of Santa Teresa that faces the Straits of Boniface. Once a fishermen village, in the last few decades Santa Teresa has become a highly populated coastal town. It owes its success  to the extraordinary beauty of the coast, rich in spectacular beaches.
Beaches and bays: Rena Bianca, La Marmorata, Santa Reparata, Cala Spinosa.

3° day - SANTA TERESA DI GALLURA - ISOLA ROSSA
From Capo Testa keep going straight until you reach Trinità d'Agultu, harbour of Isola Rossa, a peaceful fishermen village during the winter, a crowded tourist location during the summer. Here the long sequence of sandy beaches ends and leaves space to red granite.

Beaches and bays: Rena Maiore, beach of  Li Cossi.

4° day - ISOLA ROSSA - STINTINO (via Castelsardo)
Isola Rossa and Stintino face each other. Stintino is a crowded resort located on the western coast of the Gulf of Asinara, between an anchorage used as a fishing harbour and the fiord, where the small tourist harbour is located. The Island of Asinara's extraordinary naturalistic treasure is safeguarded by the National Park. Not to be missed is a refreshing stop in the picturesque Castelsardo, an ancient and coloured village clinging to a promontory.

Beaches and bays:  “Le Saline” beach and  “La Pelosa” beach, located north and south of  Stintino respectively, Cala Ostina in Castelsardo.

5° day - STINTINO - ALGHERO
Before you reach the Catalan town of Alghero you should visit “La Pelosa” beach, Isola Piana and Asinara. After you rounded Capo Falcone and two hours of navigation at open sea, you reach Punta dell'Argentiera and Porto Ferro bay. One more hour of navigation and you reach Capo Caccia and the charming Gulf of Porto Conte. You should arrive in Alghero in the evening.

Beaches and bays: Argentiera, “della Speranza” beach, Porto Ferro, “Le Bombarde” beach in Alghero.
