The purpose of this museum in Villanovaforru is to promote the natural and cultural heritage that still lives on the territory, involving visitors in activities connected to the Museum Services and thanks to the events that rotate on it.
Through the DIORAMI, 3d reconstructions of the environmental Sardinian aspects with a perspective and light that give to the visitors the tangible sensation of a real view, the Museum offers ambient, plants and animals, with a precision that is not easy to find even in nature. A multimedia and video room, and a playroom with the ancient Sardinian games are also available.
Peculiarity of this museum is the chair lift, that connect the Museum to the refreshment point, over flying the Geobotanic park of the Mediterranean sea and arriving to the plateau of the Giara del Siddi, in the Megalithic Monument’s park direction
