What Canoa / Kayak is
"Canoe/Kayak" indicated that sportive practice, common to various populations in the world, where you use a boat pushed by paddles. There are two different specialities: the Indian canoe, and the Eskimo kayak.
The “slope” along streams or rivers can be free or slalom. Normally every crew makes the course individually, except than in "team competitions". There are also competitions not yet codified by sportive federations, named "Rodeo" or "Freestyle", which already have large followers; and another recent speciality, the "Canoe polo".

Another distinction is made on the bases of the environment where this sport is made: an artificial or natural lake (with fixed measures of course); streams or rivers; long courses along rivers or on the sea (marathon). And in Sardinia you can find all the tree alternatives!
